Click-bating As A Job
I ‘ve been working for Odd News Show for 6 months now. They function similarly to Daily Mail or Buzz Feed. They have a channel on MSN (which I didn’t know was a thing until I got this job). They also publish articles on their own site. Most of my work gets published on MSN because the main site has a focus on humor. I like consuming what people might call “click-bait”. Facts about space, travel and animals have always interested me so it almost feels like there’s an endless loop of material. I’ll (without trying) see several articles in the same vain and write my own versions. It’s a lot of fun researching such a broad range of topics. For example last month I wrote about Pigeon Feet and how urban pigeons have their feet amputated by human hair waste. I kept coming across one legged pigeons after seeing that article and eventually wrote my own. A lot of the “stray” images I consume on various social media platforms have hardly any context. I usually search the comments to get more details from either someone who is a ChatGPT bot or someone who is an expert in the field. I ‘m not sure why I need the context but just seeing an image of a footless dove is not enough.
Pigeon Article Only because I kept talking about it. It’s hard to search writers by name on MSN. If you wanna see everything I ‘ve written you have to follow Odd News Show on MSN. Yes, make a profile and follow.
Odd News Show There’s a few things on this page but they stopped linking everything to my “about” page. I ‘m okay with that. I ‘m okay with pigeon feet not making it to this page. These are some of the articles I wrote with like “all my heart” LOL
